The purpose of this notice is to serve as a reminder for members when seeking an Emergency Protective Order (EPO). Occasionally, Officers will seek an EPO during a "stranger" stalking investigation. Officers are cautioned not to provide information on the EPO that the restrained person may not already have. If the protected person believes that the restrained person does not have the protected person's address, please do not list the protective person's address in Section 3 Subsection c of the EPO.

The purpose of this notice is to ensure that the Police Commission Office can track the awards nomination package through the awards nomination process.

The official letterhead of the Department has been updated to reflect the new Mayor. 

All members should review and replace the existing letterhead with the updated version including all forms, templates, and/or letters ( e.g., permit applications) used within each bureau/division/unit and on the website. Effective immediately, all references to the Mayor on any platform should be updated. 

The purpose of this Department Notice is to outline new SFPD and Department of Emergency Management (DEM) procedures regarding prioritization of Auto-Burglary (852) calls for service which took effect in November of 2024. 

These procedures are designed to assist officers and supervisors who respond to calls involving the possession, manufacturing, and/or use of counterfeit currency.
