Entry Level Police Officer

NOTE: We are halted all Entry Level Police Officer applications as of January 2021. Check back for updates to our application process.

The City and County of San Francisco has temporarily halted testing for Q002 Police Officer. Testing will resume pending a comprehensive review of the testing instruments and underlying job analyses to ensure we are utilizing the best possible tools to screen for employees who will implement the City’s vision of law enforcement that is unbiased and reflects the values of our community.

We anticipate that this review could take a minimum of three months to accomplish. We encourage you to file an application in the interim to ensure that you will be informed when testing resumes. We value your interest in working for the City and County of San Francisco and appreciate your patience while we ensure that our selection and hiring process reflects industry and social best practices.

To apply please follow the 2-step process:

  1. Apply with the City and County of San Francisco at www.jobaps.com/sf (Entry Level (Q-2) Police Officer)
