The purpose of this notice is to advise members of the recently released guidelines for City staff on Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI), which is a new form of technology that is now widely available to use online or with free applications, like ChatGPT.

As City staff, it is each of our responsibilities to ensure that we use technology responsibly and equitably. Please work with our IT team prior to using Generative AI in your work.

What is Generative AI?

On Tuesday January 9 2024, at 10:00 am PST, access to the GovQA system that manages public records act requests and police incident report requests was re-directed through the MyApps portal redacted.

This change is part of a bigger SFPD initiative; the Identity and Access Management Single Sign On (IAM SSO) project. The objective of this project is to consolidate and standardize access to all SFPD systems by using one user ID and password.

The Judicial Council of California has adopted a new TR-130 Notice to Appear form. Once the new TR130 Notice to Appear "citations" are distributed, only the new citations, with a revision date of 1/1/2024 shall be used.
