SFPD Arrests 24 in Operation Safe Schools

Operation Safe Schools is an enforcement action which focuses on narcotics violations occurring within 1000 feet of schools. This annual operation generally runs for two weeks and is scheduled to coincide with the start of school year. This year’s operation began on Monday, September 16th, and was concentrated in the Bayview, Mission and Tenderloin Police Districts. Officers assigned to Operation Safe Schools made 22 felony arrest and 2 misdemeanor arrests.
