Quick Acting Tenderloin Officers Save Injured Victim 19-026

On Sunday March 3rd, 2019 Tenderloin Station officers responded to the corner of Eddy Street and Leavenworth Street regarding a call on a possible stabbing.  Officers observed a male lying in the middle of the street bleeding uncontrollably from his arm.

The officers immediately rendered aid and placed a department issued tourniquet to the victim’s right arm to control the bleeding.

The victim stated that he was inside of his apartment on Eddy Street when he became angry and punched his window, cutting his arm. The victim then ran outside looking for help.

The victim was transported to a hospital in life threatening condition, which stabilized shortly afterwards.
