Video Remote Interpreting Systems

At Every Police Station. On Every Police Officer.

The San Francisco Police Department (SFPD) has partnered with LanguageLine Solutions to provide Video Remote Interpreter (VRI) services for members of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community.

District Police Stations

Every district police station is equipped with a Video Remote Interpreting (VRI) system that connects individuals who use American Sign Language (ASL) with a live, qualified interpreter.

This service is available at all stations and allows Deaf and Hard of Hearing visitors to communicate directly with police staff in real time.
