24-056 San Francisco Police Department's 175th Anniversary Celebration Flag Raising Ceremony and Photo Session

The San Francisco Police Department (SFPD) will be celebrating its 175% Anniversary on Wednesday April 24, 2024. The celebration will begin with the ceremonial raising of the SFPD flag on the Mayor's balcony (1 Dr. Carlton B. Goodlett Pl) at 3:30 p.m. Immediately following the flag raising ceremony, participants will gather at Civic Center Plaza (335 McAllister Street) for the commemorative SFPD group photo.
This event occurs every 25 years. All members of the SFPD (sworn, non-sworn, and retired) are encouraged to attend the flag raising ceremony and participate in the group photo.
The uniform of the day for sworn officers is as follows: Class AA for commissioned officers and Class A for non-commissioned officers. Members assigned to the Investigations Bureau may wear court attire or uniform classification as appropriate. Professional staff should wear court attire.
On-duty members who wish to attend this event shall get approval from their Commanding Officer. Participation and attendance for on-duty members will be based on staffing needs. Commanding Officers will compile a list of members attending and email it to Sgt. Kin Lee ([email protected]) by Friday, April 19, 2024, 5pm. There is no overtime allowed for this event.
