The San Francisco Police Department is required to provide its members with the SF Ethics Commission's "Statement of Incompatible Activities" each year. This document is intended to provide guidance to SFPD members about the kinds of activities that are incompatible with their public duties and are therefore prohibited.
Engaging in activities listed in this statement may subject a member to discipline (up to and including termination) and monetary fines and penalties. Members are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the complete list of incompatible activities which include using City resources for any non-City purpose, and using City business cards when acting in a non-official capacity. Therefore, each member shall read the SFPD Statement of Incompatible Activities.
