The Office of the Mayor has authorized a $100,000.00 reward for information leading to the arrest and successful prosecution of the suspect(s) responsible for the murder of San Francisco Police Sergeant Brian Valentine McDonnell. On Monday, February 16, 1970, at approximately 10:44 P.M., San Francisco Police Sergeant Brian McDonnell was murdered while standing in the business office of Golden Gate Park Police Station. Sergeant McDonnell’s injuries were caused by the explosion of a bomb placed near a station window.
