SFPD Makes 47 Arrests, Seizes 939 Grams of Narcotics in Latest Drug Market Crackdown #26-043
On Wednesday, April 8, 2026, officers with the San Francisco Police Department conducted a buy-bust and Fugitive Recovery Enforcement Team (FRET) operation, resulting in 47 arrests and over a total of 939 grams of narcotics seized.
The enforcement included buy-bust operations made by officers within SFPD’s Drug Market Agency Coordination Center (DMACC) areas. Officers made four arrests during the buy-bust operations, seizing 114.8 grams of narcotics, including fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine base, and heroin.
During the FRET operation, officers made 43 arrests for outstanding warrants, as well as other drug-related charges, during the one-day operation. Officers seized a total of 824.2 grams of illegal narcotics while making the arrests.
The work by DMACC remains critical as SFPD continues to partner with local, state, and federal agencies to dismantle the drug markets in San Francisco. Since launching DMACC in May 2023, SFPD officers have seized over 1,249 lbs. of narcotics, including 356 lbs. of fentanyl. Additionally, officers have made more than 13,994 arrests, including 2,491 arrests of drug dealers.
The SFPD will continue to prioritize efforts to address the drug crisis in our city by taking wanted suspects off the streets and holding individuals who sell illegal narcotics accountable.
Although arrests have been made, these investigations remain open and active. Anyone with information is asked to contact the
