SFPD Arrests Narcotics Dealer for Transportation of Illegal Narcotics into San Francisco 25-106

SFPD officers arrested a known narcotics trafficker and seized a large quantity of narcotics, illegal firearms, over $115,000 in cash, and other contraband during an operation this week in East Bay, SFPD Interim Chief Paul Yep announced Wednesday.
Officers served the search warrant at a home in Hayward on Tuesday and placed the suspect under arrest after a months-long investigation into drug-dealing activity in San Francisco’s Bayview neighborhood.
SFPD seized 476 grams of MDMA, 294 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, 74 hydrocodone pills, 5 grams of diazepam pills, 17 grams of oxycodone, 100 grams of codeine promethazine, 24 bottles of promethazine, and marijuana. Officers also seized $115,428 in US currency, a semi-automatic rifle and pistol, and ammunition.
Promethazine and opioids are often ingredients used to make the street drug “lean” or “sizzurp.”
“I want to thank our officers for their diligent work in this case,” Yep said. “Their tireless investigation helped get a massive amount of illegal narcotics and other contraband off our streets. The SFPD will not let up in our efforts to make our neighborhoods safe for everyone.”
The investigation began in June when assigned to Bayview Station identified 35-year-old Xavier Hardy-Gonzalves as a narcotics dealer in the neighborhood. Through the course of the investigation, officers discovered that Hardy-Gonzalves was transporting illegal narcotics into the city and county of San Francisco.
On August 26, 2025, at approximately 8:00 a.m., members of the Narcotics Division and officers working in plain clothes capacity conducted a search of Hardy-Gonzalves’s residence. Officers observed Hardy-Gonzalves and placed him under arrest without further incident.
Hardy-Gonzalves was transported to Santa Rita Alameda County Jail, where he was booked for his narcotics and weapons-related charges.
Although an arrest has been made, this remains an open and active investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the SFPD at 1-415-575-4444 or Text-A-Tip to TIP411 and begin the message with SFPD.
