SFPD Makes 97 Arrests in Fugitive Enforcement Operation 25-083

San Francisco Police and other participating law enforcement agencies made 97 arrests during a one-day operation focusing on fugitives with outstanding arrest warrants – the SFPD’s latest step in dismantling drug markets around the city, Interim Chief Paul Yep announced Thursday.
The operation, which occurred throughout the day on Wednesday, led to 97 arrests and appears to be the largest one-day fugitive-focused enforcement in recent history in San Francisco.
Out of the 97 arrests, 79 individuals had arrest warrants. During the arrests, officers located and seized a total of 16.5 g of suspected narcotics, including suspected fentanyl, cocaine base, and methamphetamine.
The operation included SFPD officers from the Fugitive Recovery Enforcement Team (FRET), the DMACC 6th Street Foot Beat, SFPD Honda Unit, Healthy Streets Operation Center (HSOC), Narcotics Unit, Narcotics Drug Recognition Expert Team, Tenderloin Patrol, Tenderloin Violence Reduction Team (VRT), Tenderloin Plainclothes Team, Mission Patrol and Plainclothes Team, San Francisco Sheriff’s Office, and Adult Parole.
The SFPD would like to thank the San Francisco Sheriff’s Office and outside law enforcement agencies for their assistance, which was instrumental in this operation. We will continue to prioritize efforts to address the drug crisis in our city by taking wanted suspects off our streets and holding individuals who sell illegal narcotics accountable.
Although arrests have been made, these investigations remain open and active. Anyone with information is asked to contact the SFPD at 1-415-575-4444 or Text-A-Tip to TIP411 and begin the message with SFPD.
