San Francisco Police Arrests Ingleside Burglary Series Suspects 20-148

On July 21, 2020, San Francisco Police officers from Ingleside Police Station responded to a house located on the 300 block of Raymond Avenue regarding a report of an attempted burglary that occurred at approximately 10:10 AM. Officers arrived on scene and met with the victim who stated that they left with the home secure. The victim received a phone call from a neighbor who stated that she heard the house alarm activated, she witnessed suspects attempt to break into the house and saw them flee the scene in a vehicle. The victim immediately returned to the house and discovered damage near the front door but it appeared that no entry into the house was made.

On July 21, 2020, San Francisco Police officers responded to a house located on the 500 block of Sawyer Street regarding a report of an attempted hot prowl burglary that occurred at approximately 11:10 AM. Officers arrived on scene and met with a victim who stated that a vehicle parked in front of the house and a suspect approached the front door. A second suspect was driving the vehicle as the first suspect entered the house. The suspects fled the scene in the vehicle. The victim discovered a damaged gate lock, which was a sign of forced entry. The victim was home during the attempted burglary did not discover any property stolen. Officers searched the area for the vehicle and suspects to no avail.

On July 21, 2020, San Francisco Police officers responded to a house located on the 200 block of Polaris Way regarding a report of a burglary that occurred at approximately 11:45 AM. Officers arrived on scene and met with the victims who stated that they left their home locked and secure. When the victims returned to the house they discovered the front door had been forced open and the house was ransacked. The victims reported jewelry and US Currency had been stolen from the home. Video surveillance gathered from the investigation showed two suspects broke into the home, ransacked the house, and stole the victims’ property. The suspects were seen fleeing in a vehicle. Officers searched the area for the vehicle and suspects but were not able to locate them.

Based on similar suspect and vehicle descriptions the investigations determined that the suspects and the vehicle were the same in all three incidents. The SFPD Burglary Unit took over the investigations to identify, locate, and ultimately arrest the suspects that committed this series of crimes. Investigators developed probable cause to arrest the suspects and presented evidence to the District Attorney’s Office who issued arrest warrants for both suspects.

On November 5, 2020, at approximately 1:15 PM Jonathan Pulliam 22-year-old male San Francisco resident was arrested on the 1700 block of Mission Street for his arrest warrant on violations of two counts of burglary (459 PC), attempted burglary (664/459 PC), and grand theft (487(A) PC). Pulliam was on active parole during his arrest and was booked into San Francisco County Jail for revocation of parole (3056 PC), felon in possession of firearm (29800(a)(1) PC), felon in possession of loaded firearm (25850(a) PC), possession of loaded firearm in a vehicle (25400(a)(1) PC).

SFPD Burglary Unit investigators identified the second suspect as Dajuan Menifee 22-year-old male from San Francisco, who is currently on probation for burglary. Investigators worked with the United States Marshalls to locate and arrest Menifee. On December 18, 2020, at approximately 7:00 AM Pacific Standard Time, Menifee was arrested in Atlanta, Georgia by the United States Marshalls and booked into Fulton County Jail awaiting extradition to San Francisco. Menifee was taken into custody for his arrest warrant on violations of two counts of burglary (459 PC), attempted burglary (664/459 PC), and grand theft (487(A) PC).
