Greetings to the Bayview Police District.
It is with great sadness that I share with you a tragic incident that took place the 1600 block of Quesada on April 20th:
Overview:
On April 20th at approximately 11:00 pm, officers responded to a ShotSpotter activation on the 1600 block of Quesada as calls of a shooting started coming in. Also being reported was that people were fleeing from the area on foot and in vehicles. The officers arrived and located a crime scene which they preserved as other units responded to San Francisco General Hospital where five victims of gunfire were being treated. Other officers responded to UCSF Mission Bay where a sixth victim of the shooting arrived. Resulting from this incident, one male victim suffered grave injuries to which he succumbed at the hospital. Officers preserved and collected all evidence and the incident is currently under active investigation.
