April 8, 2021 marks the five-year anniversary of the recovery of Nicole Fitts’ remains, which were found in McLaren Park on April 8, 2016. Nicole was the mother of two-year-old Arianna, who is still missing.

The San Francisco Police Department continues to actively investigate this incident and we will continue to investigate this matter as long as it takes. We will pursue all leads, continue to examine all evidence, and seek out all individuals who may have information. The SFPD will continue to collaborate with the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s San Francisco field office and additional FBI resources for their expertise in missing child investigations.

The SFPD has authorized a $100,000 reward for information leading to the identification, arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the murder of Nicole and the disappearance of Arianna. Nicole’s former employer Best Buy is providing a $10,000 reward for direct information assisting in locating Arianna Fitts or indirect information based on her mother's homicide.

An SFPD forensic sketch artist portrays an age progression sketch of Arianna. Copies of the reward fliers including the sketch accompany this news release.

We wanted to speak to everyone who interacted with Nicole leading up to her disappearance. Try to remember every detail you can, no matter how insignificant you think it may be. If you remember something, please contact us even if you previously talked with us. As we have continued to collect information, analyze forensic evidence, and have developed new leads, we – together with the FBI – will be reaching out to people again in the coming months.

Anyone with information on Arianna’s whereabouts or the homicide of Nicole is encouraged to call the SFPD 24 Hour Tip Line at 1-415-575-4444, or text a tip to TIP411 and begin the text message with SFPD. You may remain anonymous.
