SFPD Arrests Multiple Suspects During a One-Day Retail Theft Enforcement Operation #26-099

Northern Station Officers Work in Partnership with Retail Business to Recover Over $1,000 of Merchandise

On July 29, San Francisco Police officers assigned to Northern Station conducted a one-day retail theft enforcement operation at a Whole Foods grocery store located at the corner of Gough and California Streets. In 4 hours, SFPD officers arrested six suspects for stealing over $1,000 in merchandise.

In partnership with the retail establishment and its employees, suspects were observed taking and concealing a variety of merchandise and walking out of the store without paying.

Officers arrested and booked the following three suspects in the San Francisco County Jail for outstanding warrants in addition to the charges below:

• Cauieh Santos Antonio, 25-year-old male – Petty Theft (N/W 490.2.(a) PC)
• Margarita Maganataun, 42-year-old female – Petty Theft s (N/W 490.2.(a) PC)
• Lemuel Leaner Brown, 63-year-old male - Petty Theft with Priors (666.1.(a)(1) PC/ Felony), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (11364(a) H&S)

Three other individuals were cited and released at the conclusion of the operation.  The recovered merchandise was returned to the retail establishment.
