SFPD Investigates Homicide in the Bayview Police District #26-020

On February 27, 2026, at approximately 10:04 a.m., San Francisco Police officers responded to the area of Dakota and 25th streets regarding a shooting.

Officers arrived on scene and located two victims suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Officers rendered aid and requested paramedics to the scene. Despite the lifesaving efforts of first responders, one victim was declared deceased on scene. Paramedics transported the second victim to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

During the investigation, officers were advised that a third victim, who is a juvenile, was transported by another party to a local hospital with superficial injuries and was not shot.

Officers are currently on scene and ask the public to refrain from the area.
