Tiffany Sutton, Director of the Crime Strategies Division (CSD) was born in Mountain View, CA. She grew up in East Palo Alto and attended Los Altos High School. Ms. Sutton graduated with distinct honors from San Diego State University with a BS in Criminal Justice and a Minor in African American Studies. She later earned her Juris Doctorate degree from the University of San Francisco Law School, with the distinct honor of receiving the Thurgood Marshall Achievement Award. After graduation, Ms. Sutton practiced law at DLA Piper, an Intellectual Property Firm. After spending two years at a civil firm, she was hired by now Senator Kamala Harris as a San Francisco Assistant District Attorney. Ms. Sutton spent 12 years in the SFDA’s office, before accepting a position with SFPD as the Director of the CSD. In this current assignment, Director. Sutton is responsible for the leadership and management of the crime analytics team and analyzing SFPD’s crime and community strategies.
