San Francisco Police Academy’s 285th Class Graduation 021-25

The San Francisco Police Department’s 285th Recruit Class will be sworn in on Thursday, September 11, 2025, by San Francisco Interim Police Chief Paul Yep. There are 31 graduating recruit officers. 12 graduates are bilingual and fluent in languages such as Spanish, Cantonese, Korean, Tagalog, Hindi, Urdu, Pashto, Darija, and Dutch.

The 285th Recruit Class comprises 12 members who have earned bachelor’s degrees, seven who have earned associate degrees, and one who has earned a master’s degree. Members of the class have previously been employed as emergency medical technicians (EMT) and teachers, as well as those who have worked in transportation services, food, sales, and trades industries, to name a few. Three officers have served in the United States military in the US Army, Army National Guard, and US Navy.

The 285th Recruit Class has completed 33 weeks of training. Following graduation, the newly sworn SFPD officers will begin a 16-week field-training program at various district stations.
