SFPD Arrests Suspects Involved in Robbery 25-112
On September 3rd, 2025, at approximately 9:20 a.m., San Francisco Police officers responded to the area of Geary Blvd and Divisadero Streets regarding a robbery.
Officers arrived on scene and located a juvenile victim on the 1000 block of Hayes Street. Officers were advised that the victim was walking when she was approached from behind by an unknown male suspect. The suspect robbed the victim of her property and fled to a nearby vehicle with a suspect waiting in the driver’s seat. There were no injuries sustained as a result of the incident.
With the assistance of members assigned to the Real Time Investigation Center (RTIC), a member of the Citywide Plainclothes Team located the vehicle near the area of Bryant and Rincon Streets, traveling onto the Bay Bridge. The officer began surveilling the vehicle, which led onto the city streets of Oakland, CA.
Additional SFPD members responded to the area, as well as CHP Air Support and the Oakland Police Department. Units on scene coordinated and developed a strategic plan to safely apprehend the vehicle and take the suspects into custody.
Officers conducted a traffic stop of the vehicle, and all three occupants were taken into custody without further incident.
Officers developed probable cause to arrest 24-year-old Kevin Leiva-Hernandez, 23-year-old Ricardo Chavez-Hernandez, and a juvenile suspect.
Leiva-Hernandez and Chavez-Hernandez were booked into San Francisco County Jail for robbery (211 PC) and conspiracy (182 PC).
The juvenile was booked into the Juvenile Justice Center for robbery (211 PC) and conspiracy (182 PC).
