Vehicle Theft, Possession of Stolen Property, Possession of Burglary Tools

On 9/24/18, officers responded to the 700 BLK of Taylor St on a report of vehicle theft in-progress. Upon arrival, officers observed a suspect attempting to pry open the door to the victim’s vehicle. Officers detained the suspect who alleged that he was the owner of the vehicle and had left his keys inside the car. A records check on the vehicle revealed it was reported stolen out of San Jose. The suspect was arrested and booked at the County Jail for vehicle theft, possession of stolen property and possession of burglary tools.
