On Thursday, May 9th, 2019 at approximately 1:54AM, San Francisco police officers responded to the 400 block of Arballo Drive regarding a stabbing.  Officers found an adult male victim who was bleeding uncontrollably from the neck and immediately began to render aid to the victim who was then transported to the hospital by ambulance in life threatening condition.

The victim told the officers that he was in a verbal argument with the suspect, later identified as 65 year-old San Francisco resident Mitchell Graham.  Graham pulled out a knife and during a physical confrontation, swung the knife and struck the victim in the neck.  Graham dropped the weapon and fled the scene on foot.

The SFPD Night Investigations Unit (NIU) took over the case and circulated a crime bulletin to local law enforcement agencies.  At approximately 5:15PM that evening, officers from the Veteran Affairs Police Department arrested Graham on the 4100 block of Clement Street. Officers from Taraval Police Station’s Taraval Neighborhood Team (TNT) responded to Clement Street and took custody of Graham.

Graham was booked at San Francisco County Jail for attempted homicide with a knife, and for an outstanding no bail warrant.

The victim has since been discharged from the hospital and is recovering from the injury.

Although an arrest has been made, investigators are asking anyone with information about this case to contact the San Francisco Police 24 hour tip line at 1-415-575-4444 or text-a-tip to TIP411 and begin the message with SFPD.  You may remain anonymous.
