Southern Station Newsletter - September 12, 2018

Hope that everyone had a wonderful summer with friends and family! I am happy to report that auto burglaries and larceny thefts are down 32% and 27% respectively year to date in our continued priority of reducing property crime in the district. Burglaries remain up year to date although there has been a reduction month over month with an increase in burglary arrests made by officers.

With school back in session and the days getting shorter as we enter the Fall season, it is important that we prioritize traffic safety to ensure the wellness of the children, residents and workers within our district. Under the City’s Vision Zero SF policy of prioritizing traffic safety with the goal of reducing traffic fatalities to zero by 2024, below are some school and general traffic safety tips under the Safe Routes to School initiative:
