Officers arrested four suspects along with scales and drug packaging materials

Officers with the San Francisco Police Department seized over 5 lbs. of narcotics, including 4.87 lbs. of fentanyl, after executing a search warrant Wednesday at an Oakland residence in the latest major drug enforcement operation by SFPD, Acting Chief Paul Yep announced Friday.

The operation also yielded $52,589 in US currency and narcotics packaging materials and scales.

The joint operation occurred on the 3100 block of Martin Luther King Way in Oakland and included the San Francisco Police Department’s Narcotics Division, Drug Enforcement Administration, California Highway Patrol Drug Taskforce, and San Francisco Sheriff’s Office.

“I want to thank our officers for getting this massive haul of drugs off our streets,” Yep said. “These drugs were destined for San Francisco, and operations like these make a significant impact on keeping our city safe and clean. I want to thank our law enforcement partners for their exceptional work on this investigation.”

SFPD arrested Oakland residents Daniela Nairoby Hernandez-Barahona, 20, Delvin Danel Barahona-Centeno, 52, Jhonatan Santiago Dias, 20, and Gustavo Benjamin Chavezmeza, 31, on drug-related charges and active and outstanding out-of-city warrants.

The operation comes one day after officers arrested 25 individuals and seized over 380 grams of narcotics during buy-bust operations around the Tenderloin.

The work is part of the SFPD Drug Market Agency Coordination Center (DMACC), which launched in May 2023. SFPD has seized over 332 kilos of narcotics since DMACC launched, including 140 kilos of fentanyl.

Although arrests have been made, these investigations remain open and active. Anyone with information is asked to contact the SFPD at 1-415-575-4444 or Text-A-Tip to TIP411 and begin the message with SFPD.
