SFPD Makes Arrest in Southern District Homicide #26-012(a)

On February 9, 2026, at approximately 2:02 a.m., San Francisco Police officers responded to the 500 block of Harrison Street regarding a shooting.

Officers responded to the scene and located a victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound in the area of Harrison and 2nd streets. Officers rendered aid, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Paramedics were requested to the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital. Despite the lifesaving efforts of medical staff, the victim was declared deceased at the hospital.

The San Francisco Homicide Detail took the lead in the investigation. Through the course of their investigation, investigators identified the suspect as 49-year-old Lamont Williams from Hayward and developed probable cause to obtain a warrant for his arrest.

On February 20, 2026, members of the SFPD Investigations Bureau, as well as Hayward Police Department Tactical, took the suspect into custody on the 25000 block of Industrial Boulevard in Hayward. Williams was transported to San Francisco County Jail #1 and booked on the charge of homicide (187(a)PC).
