SFPD Make Arrests in Ingleside and Bayview Robberies 19-019

On Friday , February 8, 2019 at approximately 9:20 AM San Francisco police officers from Ingleside District responded to the 200 block of Russia Street for a report of a robbery. Officers met with the female victim who told police that a male suspect took her bag , which had been slung over her shoulder . The victim said that the suspect fled in a red vehicle.

On Friday , February 8, 2019 at approximately 9:24 AM officers from Bayview District responded to the intersection of Princeton Street and Silver Avenue for a report of a robbery . Officers met with the female victim who told officers that a male suspect took her purse, which had been slung over her shoulder.

Later that day at approximately 12:19PM officers from Ingleside District responded to 500 Raymond Avenue for a report of a robbery that occurred on t he 200 block of Sawyer Street. The female victim told officers that a suspect ran up behind her and pulled her backpack off her back, causing her to fall to the ground. She was treated and released at the scene for non - life threatening injuries.

While officers were interviewing the victim of the robbery from Sawyer Street, an off - duty San Francisco police officer was traveling behind a red vehicle. An occupant threw a backpack out of the vehicle. The backpack was later recovered by police. The off - duty officer contacted Ingleside Station by phone and requested assistance. Plain clothes officers from Ingleside Station located a vehicle that matched the description of the vehicle used in the robberies. The vehicle was also reported stolen out of Oakland. Officers made contact with the occupants of the vehicle in a parking lot on Rey Street and detained them without incident.

Through the course of the investigation officers located stolen items from all of the robberies in the suspects’ possession.

27 year - old Melthon Branch , 18 year - old Eugene Holbert and 21 year - old Shane Holman, all of San Francisco were booked at San Francisco County Jail on charges of robbery, conspiracy, possession of stolen items and elder abuse. Due to pending identification matters, booking photos of the suspects are not being released at this time.
