SFPD Investigates Homicide in Tenderloin District 23-081

On July 17, 2023, at approximately 6:34 p.m., San Francisco Police officers assigned to Tenderloin Station responded to the unit block of 6th Street on a report of a shooting. 

When officers arrived on scene, they located an adult male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Officers began rendering aid including cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and summoned medics to the scene. Despite life-saving efforts by officers, the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.   

Investigators from the San Francisco Police Department Homicide Detail are leading this investigation.
