SFPD Arrests Prolific Burglary Suspect 23-082

Between the dates of February 23, 2023, and July 3, 2023, the San Francisco Police Department Burglary Unit had been investigating eighteen different burglaries that occurred in the Central, Northern, Richmond, and Mission Police Districts which they believed to have been committed by the same suspect. Through the course of the investigations the suspect was identified as 29-year-old male Patrick Potter from San Francisco. Investigators developed probable cause to obtain an arrest warrant for Potter who was also a parolee at large.  

On July 6, 2023, at approximately 11:46 a.m. San Francisco Police officers located Potter on the 300 block of 13th Street in Oakland. Potter was arrested for the San Francisco arrest warrant (Warrant #833980, Bail $100,000) on a litany of charges related to the burglary series. Potter was also arrested for the California Department of Corrections warrant (CDC Warrant # 2207283619, No Bail) for parole violation.
