SFPD Announces Reward in 1991 Homicide

$100,000 Reward

On August 3, 1991, at approximately 9:40 p.m., 30-year-old Karl Holmberg was attacked by a group of male suspects in the area of Hayes and Laguna Streets.  During the altercation, Holmberg was stabbed by one of the suspects. Despite the lifesaving efforts of emergency responders and the hospital staff, Mr. Holmberg succumbed to his injuries. 

This investigation is being led by the SFPD Homicide Detail. 

The San Francisco Police Department authorized a reward for information leading to the identification, arrest, and conviction of the suspect(s) in this case.  The reward is $100,000.
