The San Francisco Police Department will hold a graduation ceremony for the 263rd Regional Recruit Academy Class, Friday, May 24, 2019, at the Scottish Rite Auditorium, 2850 19th Avenue at Sloat Blvd. at 6:00 P.M. There are 29 SFPD recruits (23 male and 6 female) and one San Francisco Sheriff Deputy recruit (one male) graduating.

One member has earned a Master’s degree, one has earned a Juris Doctorate degree, seventeen have earned Bachelor’s degrees and three have earned Associate’s degrees. Two graduates served in the military as members of the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force. Members of the class have previously been employed as an attorney, personal trainers, construction, catering/food services, customer service, security, and parking control enforcement.

Several graduates are bilingual in Spanish.

The Academy Class completed 35 weeks of training. Following graduation, the newly sworn San Francisco Police Department officers will begin a 16-week field-training program at various district stations.
