SFPD Academy's 246th Class Graduates

The San Francisco Police Department will be holding a graduation ceremony for the 246th Academy Class on Friday, November 20th, 2015, at the Scottish Rite Auditorium, 2850 19th Avenue at Sloat Blvd. at 6:00 P.M. There are 34 recruits graduating from the class.

In this class there are the following degrees: 3 have Master’s degrees, 18 have Bachelor’s degrees, 2 have an Associate’s degree and 2 have prior military service. Additionally, 2 recruits are paramedics and 2 are firefighters. Out of the 34 recruits there are 6 female recruits and the remaining are males.

Several of the recruits are bilingual. The languages spoken are: Spanish, French, Batanga, Bosnian, Croatian, Vietnamese, and Gaelic.

The 246th Academy Class has completed 32 weeks of training. Following the graduation, the newly sworn officers will begin a 16-week field-training program at the Department’s district stations.
