San Francisco Police Seeking Public's Assistance in Aggravated Assault Case 20-019

On Sunday, February 2, 2020, at approximately 6:30 PM, a male suspect entered a restaurant located on the 5400 block of Geary Boulevard. The suspect approached the front counter of the restaurant to order food and appeared agitated and verbally abusive as he talked to the restaurant staff. In an attempt to diffuse the suspect’s agitation, the staff gave the suspect food. The suspect did not appear satisfied with the staff’s gesture and proceeded to hit the cashier with his cell phone and threw a napkin dispenser, which struck and injured the employee. The suspect also damaged the restaurant’s electronic counter equipment before fleeing on foot eastbound on Geary Boulevard.

The suspect is described as a Latin male, 45-50 years old, 5’9”, approximately 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a black “SF” t-shirt with “BOSA 97” on the back.
