San Francisco Police Search for Homicide Suspect that Claimed the Life of 16-year-old Girl 21-144

On Friday, July 30, 2021, at approximately 6:45 p.m., San Francisco Police officers from Bayview Station responded to the unit block of Bertha Lane for a report of a shooting. While responding to the call officers were advised that two female shooting victims, ages 16 and 45, were privately transported to a local hospital. The 45-year-old victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and is expected to survive. Despite life-saving efforts, the 16-year-old victim succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased.

Officers located the crime scene on Bertha Lane and remain on scene interviewing witnesses and canvassing for evidence. No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting.

The SFPD Homicide Detail is now leading the investigation.
