San Francisco Police Makes Arrest in Bayview District Homicide 22-112

On Saturday, July 9, 2022, at approximately 7:40 p.m. San Francisco Police officers responded to Dakota and 23rd Streets regarding a report of a shooting. Officers arrived on scene and located an adult male suffering from injuries caused by a gunshot wound. Officers rendered aid and summoned medical attention. The victim was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Despite lifesaving efforts by the emergency responders and medical staff, the victim succumbed to their injuries and was declared deceased in the hospital.  

San Francisco Police Homicide Investigators led the investigation and developed probable cause that identified 54-year-old Randy Oliver as the suspect.  On August 16, 2022, at approximately 7:55 p.m., with the assistance of Yolo County law enforcement, Oliver was taken into custody.   

Oliver was booked into Yolo County Jail on the charge of homicide (187(a) PC).
