San Francisco Police Make Second Arrest in Bayview District Recycling Robbery 20-021(e)

The second suspect wanted in connection with the February 22, 2020 robbery of a recycler in the Bayview District has been arrested. 

Fifty-six year-old Jonathan Amerson of San Francisco surrendered himself at Bayview Police Station at approximately 11:30 AM on March 1, 2020.  Amerson was booked on the charges of robbery (2 counts) and elder abuse (2 counts).  The second set of charges stem from a prior incident approximately two months ago in which Amerson reportedly robbed the same victim of his recycling materials in the same area.  Amerson’s booking photo was not available at the time of this news release but will be available on March 2nd. 

This arrest is the direct result of cooperation and assistance from the community and efforts by officers assigned to Bayview Police Station and the Special Investigations Division who have been working tirelessly to identify the involved parties.
