San Francisco Police Make Homicide Arrest 19-117

On Sunday July 7th, 2019 at approximately 12:49 AM, San Francisco Police officers from the Southern district responded to the area of Bonifacio Street and Mabini Street regarding a possible shooting call.

Officers observed an adult male victim lying on the sidewalk with an apparent gunshot wound. Medics arrived on scene to treat the subject. Twenty year-old Richard Ponce, from Dos Palos, CA unfortunately succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

SFPD Homicide investigators identified the suspect as 21 year-old Oakland resident Patrick Jackson. On Wednesday September 11th the suspect was arrested on the 1500 block of Doolittle Drive in San Leandro, CA.

Jackson was booked at the San Francisco County Jail for murder and robbery. The case is under active investigation and a booking photo is not being released at this time.
