San Francisco Police Make Arrests in January 5th Homicide 20-002

San Francisco police have arrested two suspects in connection with the shooting homicide that occurred at approximately 3:45AM on January 5, 2020 at Larkin and O’Farrell Streets. In that incident, SFPD officers found 32 year-old Emma Jane Hunt of San Francisco on the sidewalk suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.  Officers rendered aid until relieved by SFFD paramedics. Hunt was transported to Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital where she was pronounced deceased.

Investigators from the San Francisco Police Department Homicide Detail began an investigation and identified the suspects. 

On January 10, 2020 at approximately 10:30 AM, Kevin Lopez-Figueroa, an 18 year-old male San Francisco resident, was taken into custody by SFPD Narcotics Detail officers on the northeast corner of Eddy Street and Van Ness Avenue. Lopez-Figueroa was booked into the San Francisco County Jail on the charges of conspiracy and homicide.  His booking photo accompanies this news release.

On January 10, 2020 at approximately 4:22 PM, the San Francisco Police Department’s Tactical Unit and Homicide Detail served a search warrant at an apartment on the 600 block of Mission Bay Boulevard.  A 17 year-old male juvenile was arrested and transported to the Juvenile Justice Center where he was booked on the charges of conspiracy and murder. Due to his age, no booking photo will be released.
