San Francisco Police Department Update on Officer Involved Shooting Investigations 19-049

As part of our commitment towards accountability and transparency with our community, the San Francisco Police Department is providing an update on officer involved shooting (OIS) investigations.

Officer involved shootings involving San Francisco Police officers are investigated by the SFPD Homicide Detail, the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office - Independent Investigations Bureau, the SFPD Internal Affairs Division and the San Francisco Department of Police Accountability.
