San Francisco Police Department seeks public assistance In locating Estes robbery suspect

On May 28, 2022, at approximately 2:59 pm, San Francisco Police Officers assigned to Taraval Station responded to the 2100 block of Taraval on a report of a robbery.  

When officers arrived on scene, they located a 47-year-old victim, who was injured as a result of the incident. Officers rendered aid and summoned medical attention. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The victim told officers that the suspect entered the store, purchased an item, and left the store. The suspect returned, took a car battery, and ran past the cash registers. As the suspect ran towards the door, the victim confronted the suspect. The suspect pushed the victim to the ground as he ran out of the store with the battery.  The victim suffered serious injuries as a result of the incident. 

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 5’6” tall, approximately 170 lbs., with wavy dark hair.  

The SFPD General Work Detail is leading the investigation and is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect. Images and video of the suspect accompany this new release.
