San Francisco Police Department Chief Scott Announces Command Staff Promotions and Assignments 19-106

San Francisco Police Chief William Scott today announced the promotion of three command staff members to new leadership positions within the department:

• Michael Redmond promoted to Assistant Chief, Operations
• David Lazar promoted to Deputy Chief, Investigations
• Steve Ford promoted to Commander, Administration Bureau

The Chief also announced the following command member assignments:

• Deputy Chief Ann Mannix, Special Operations Bureau
• Deputy Chief Greg McEachern, Field Operations Bureau
• Commander Teresa Ewins, Metro Division
• Commander Daryl Fong, Community Engagement Division
• Commander Robert O’Sullivan, Risk Management Division
• Commander Daniel Perea, MTA
• Commander Peter Walsh, Golden Gate Division
• Director Tiffany Sutton, Operations

“These talented, hard-working members of our department are committed to the safety and well-being of everyone in San Francisco,” said Chief Scott. “Together, we will continue to decrease violent crime in our City, enhance and improve our crime prevention and investigative strategies, increase our collaboration with the public and advance our implementation of Collaborative Reform Initiative recommendations.”

The promotions and assignments are effective September 3, 2019.
