San Francisco Police Arrest Suspect in Connection with February 6th Kidnapping Investigation 21-032

Investigators from the San Francisco Police Department’s Special Victims Unit have identified a suspect wanted in connection with the February 6, 2021 kidnapping of two children on the 2100 block of Jackson Street.  

On February 9, 2021 at approximately 11:20 AM, San Francisco Police officers assigned to the Special Investigations Division (SID) and a San Francisco County Sheriff’s deputy assigned to the Warrant Service Unit (WSU) located Erlin Obani Romero, 25 of San Francisco, on Crisp Road near Palou Avenue. 


Romero was placed under arrest and later booked on the following charges: two counts of Kidnapping (207(a) PC), Auto Theft (10851(a) VC), Robbery (211 PC), Conspiracy (182(a) PC), a Probation Violation (1203.2(a) PC) and Battery (242 PC).  

The investigation is ongoing and SVU investigators are looking for at least one additional suspect.
