On Friday, August 27, 2021, at approximately 7:55 AM officers responded to the 600 block of Kearny St. regarding an assault that just occurred. Officers arrived on scene and observed an adult male, Sierra Sterkin, being held down by several citizens because he was identified as the suspect in the assault. Officers immediately detained Sterkin and conducted an investigation of the incident. Officers spoke with the victim, a 51-year-old female, and several witnesses who stated that Sterkin pushed the victim without provocation. The suspect caused the victim to fall back and hit her head on the street pavement, which caused the victim to be injured. Sterkin was transported and booked into San Francisco County Jail for the above-listed charges and warrant.
