San Francisco Police Are Seeking Public Assistance in Locating Homicide Suspect 23-003(a)

On January 6, 2023, at approximately 1:53 a.m., San Francisco Police officers from Mission Station responded to the 600 block of Valencia Street regarding a shooting. Officers arrived on scene and located two male victims and two female victims suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Officers rendered aid and summoned medics to the scene. The victims were transported to a local hospital for their injuries. The two female victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries and the two male victims suffered life-threatening injuries. Despite the life-saving efforts of the emergency responders and the medical staff, a 28-year-old male victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital. The SFPD Homicide Detail responded to the scene and took over the investigation.

SFPD Homicide investigators have developed information that identified the suspect as 21-year-old Christopher Aguilar Rojas. Rojas is considered armed and dangerous. A warrant has been issued for Rojas’s arrest. A booking photo of Rojas accompanies this news release. As a matter of public safety and to the victims, the SFPD needs to apprehend the suspect.
