San Francisco Police Academy Graduation May 3rd

The San Francisco Police Department will be holding a graduation ceremony for the 234th Academy Class on Friday, May 3rd, at the Scottish Rite Auditorium, 2850-19th Avenue at Sloat Blvd. at 6:00 P.M. There are 46 recruits graduating from the class.

In this class there are with 3 recruits that have earned Masters degrees, 22 have Bachelor’s degrees, 6 have Associates degrees, 2 have Juris Doctor degrees, 1 has a Postgraduate Teaching Credentials and 7 are prior military. Out of the 46 recruits there are 5 female recruits and the remaining are males. The youngest recruit is 22 years old and the oldest is 49 years old. Several of the recruits are bilingual. The languages spoken are: Tagalog, Visavan, Spanish, French, Cantonese, Russian and Korean.

The 234th Academy Class has completed 31 weeks of training. Following the graduation, the newly sworn officers will begin a 16-week field-training program at the Department’s district stations.
