Sacramento Police Request Public Assistance in Homicide Investigation 19-137

Investigators with the Sacramento Police Department are seeking public assistance in solving a cold case homicide investigation. 

A woman’s body was discovered in a Sacramento dumpster on June 29, 2001.  The victim was later identified as Perrean Gray. Sacramento PD investigators believe that Gray may have had ties to San Francisco.  She was the subject of a missing person’s report in San Francisco.

The Sacramento Police Department encourages any witnesses with information regarding this incident to contact the dispatch center at 1-916-264-5471 or Sacramento Valley Crime Stoppers at 1-916-443-HELP (4357) or submit an anonymous tip using the free “P3 Tips” smartphone app.  Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward up to $1,000.
