The San Francisco District Attorney’s Office is inviting residents and businesses to register their security cameras. Registration is voluntary and there is no cost associated with registration. Registering your information does not provide the District Attorney's Office with direct access to your camera, just the location and the contact information. All information will be kept confidential and only accessed by law enforcement personnel who are investigating criminal activity. You may be contacted by law enforcement to request a copy of any video captured by your camera, which may assist in a criminal investigation.
The goal of the program is to deter crime and promote public safety through collaboration between the San Francisco District Attorney's Office and the communities we serve.
