Recap on the Shooting incident that occurred on Saturday 6/27/15:

Just after 6 pm on 6/27/15 San Francisco Police received information regarding shots fired in the area of United Nations Plaza. Officers responded to the area and detained several possible suspects who were located on Market St.

The incident is believed to have started when several groups of men, unrelated to the PRIDE event, got in a verbal argument near or inside the venue.

The incident escalated when one of the subjects pulled out a gun and fired several shots. One shot struck a PRIDE spectator in the arm. The victim 64 WM was transported to SFGH and is said to be in stable condition.

The Crime Scene Unit, Gang Task Force, and Night Investigations Units are on scene. This is preliminary information and we will update you if and when we get further information.
