Central Station - Officer of the Month - August 2018

Officer Rowan was born in Cotati, CA and attended Rancho Cotate High School. He went on to attend Williamette University in Salem, OR where he received a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. He also attended the University of San Francisco and received a Master’s Degree in Organization and Leadership. He play college athletics at both school.

Officer Rowan joined the San Francisco Police Department in April of 2015. After graduating from the Police Academy, he was assigned to Southern Station for field training. He was then assigned to Mission Station for his probation station. After probation, he was assigned to Central Station as his permanent assignment.

Officer Rowan is a patrol officer on the day shift. He is Crisis Intervention Trained. He plays on the SFPD Seals Baseball Team who are the 2018 Police Olympics Gold Medalists. He also plays on the Central Station Softball Team.

Officer Rowan appreciates the comradery with all of his colleagues at Central. He says Central Station feels very family oriented and he feels fortunate to work in this area of San Francisco.
