Carrying a Concealed Weapon (CCW) Information and Application
Per the Supreme Court ruling in New York State Rifle & Pistol Association v. Bruen, the good cause requirement is no longer required and will not be considered by the San Francisco Police Department.

SFPD CCW Application Info
- All applicants must call to make an appointment for in-person drop-off at the Legal Division Court Liaison Unit for further direction. Please call (415) 553-1192 to contact them.
- Please bring your application and copy of identification which proves residency in San Francisco, California.
All applicants shall complete sections 1-5 of the California Department of Justice "Standard Application for License to Carry a Concealed Weapon (CCW)." Sections 6, 7 and 8 must be completed IN PERSON at time of interview.
