At the end of the six-month probationary period, probationary officers who have demonstrated an acceptable level of performance may be approved to work as solo officers.

Lateral officers are eligible to be signed off after two (2) months of probation.

A memorandum attached with the 6 completed monthly performance appraisals must be submitted through the chain of command. The Deputy Chief of FOB has the authority to approve the solo officer status.
